News Lesson Cancellations: If you need to cancel a lesson for whatever reason, please let me know 24 hours in advance, otherwise you will be charged for the lesson. (If your child suddenly becomes sick of if there is a family emergency, then you'll not be charged) How much time in the saddle? I try to have the students on the horse 50 minutes of the hour. As soon as students arrive, I try to get them in the saddle. My goal is for each student to have a safe and enjoyable experience, where they will be riding an excellent horse and will receive quality instruction. What if it rains? If the weather is too bad, (pouring, lightening, or thunder), lessons will be cancelled. However, just because it may be raining in your part of the city does not always mean its raining at the Circle D Ranch. If it's just a drizzle or it's an on and off type thing, I'll typically work through the rain. It's best to call me on my cell phone concerning emergencies or to talk when I'm out at the ranch on weekends. Please call me If you are concerned as to whether lessons are cancelled or not. The horses at Circle D Ranch - Most everyone who comes to Circle D Ranch knows the lesson horses: All my horses are quarter horses and include: "Sonny" ,"Sky" , "Double D", Al Capone (came from the Huntsville prison) and "Cowboy". Questions concerning Lesson Materials? - If you have a question regarding any of the lesson materials you receive each week, either give me a call or send me an email. I'll be happy to explain any of the concepts you are having trouble with in more detail. Girl Scout and Boy Scout Merit Badges - Are you trying to get your Girl Scout or Boy Scout horsemanship merit badge? Circle D will be happy to help you with that. Just give me a call and we'll set up a special program to go through the merit badge requirements. Call early though as it is not a program I can schedule without advance notice.
